Jason Witt and Josh Quinlan will have to wait a bit to meet each other.
Witt and Quinlan were scheduled to fight in the welterweight division at UFC Vegas 59 this Saturday, but the fight has been rescheduled for next weekend at UFC San Diego. The cancellation of the fight was originally reported Evy Rodriguez, and a move to UFC San Diego was confirmed by MMA Fighting. The reason for the transfer is still unclear.
Witt is a 35-year-old welterweight who has been in the UFC since 2020, but he hasn’t been able to pick up the pace, alternating wins and losses in the promotion. His last fight was a second round knockout loss to Philip Rowe at UFC Vegas 47. His overall career record is 19-8.
Quinlan is a 29-year-old prospect who is making his UFC debut. The Maverick secured a contract with the UFC by defeating Logan Urban via TKO in the 47th second at the C.ontender series in September of that year, however his win was overturned by the NAC after Quinlan tested positive for drostanolone. His overall career record is 5-0, 1 NC.
