The Michigan Wolverines were in full swing on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes 45-23.
The celebration after the Wolverines’ game at the Horseshoe included planting the Michigan flag with the letter “M” in the Buckeyes’ linebacker logo, but the party didn’t end there. The team returned to Ann Arbor in time for the hockey team’s game against the Harvard Crimson.

Michigan was led by unlikely heroes in the form of quarterback JJ McCarthy and running back Donovan Edwards. The Wolverine’s dominant second half brought the team their first win in Columbus, Ohio since 2000.
Coach Jim Harbaugh, whose tenure began with a five-game losing streak against Ohio State, now boasts back-to-back wins in The Game, following on from last year’s 42-27 win.
“Our team really paid the price and they really put in all the work. And that’s what they did, just hard work, sweat in every game,” Harbaugh said. “To get to this game and get this opportunity, and we were grateful to be where we were, exactly where we wanted to be … all the players were focused and determined to win.”
The Michigan hockey team also came out on top and inflicted Harvard’s first loss of the season.
