The Cincinnati Bengals are on a two-game winning streak and could bring back their best offensive weapon against the Tennessee Titans this week as Joe Burrow and company continue to battle for top spot in the AFC North. Burrow told reporters on Wednesday that he expects world class star Ja’Marr Chase to play in Week 12.
Chase has missed the last three games with a hip injury. This was announced to reporters by the head coach of the Bengals Zach Taylor. by ESPN.that Chase will return to practice, and this is really everyday. The Bengals went 2-1 without Chase as a starter and bounced back from an embarrassing 32-13 loss to rival Cleveland Browns on Halloween. When Burrow was asked Wednesday if he learned anything about himself when his No. 1 was sidelined, he smiled and replied, “I’m who I thought I was.”
This season, Chase is averaging 86.4 receiving yards and just under one touchdown per game. Despite the injury, Chase had two of his best individual performances before dropping out, catching seven passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints, and eight catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons.
This week, the Bengals will have a divisional rematch in Nashville against the Titans, who have the third-worst pass defense in the NFL (266.8 yards allowed per game). The Bengals’ first injury report for Week 12 is due out this afternoon and it will be interesting to see Chase’s status.
