ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA — Joel Dahmen is afraid, but he’s not worried about the huge bunkers at the Sea Island resort or the cold wind that has turned normally calm layouts into endurance tests.

To be honest, Damen never had what many would consider a real job. When he was younger, he worked as a valet for six months, but professional golf has been his main focus since turning pro in 2010, so the thought of doing anything else is daunting, especially after his PGA elimination. Tour for victory. The 2021 Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship has expired.

For some, the fear can be debilitating, but that’s not the case with Damen. He made five of six cuts this fall and just finished in the top 10 in a row. He is also tied for fourth after the second round of 64 at Plantation Field and just three shots behind the leaders. Despite the success at the beginning of the season, he is still scared.

“I don’t want to give it up. It’s one of the most coveted things in all of sports – it’s a PGA Tour card,” he said.
