JTA sincerely communicates with a fan at the championship parade originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
Juan Toscano-Anderson looked at the crowd at the Warriors championship parade on Monday and saw a version of myself in my youth.
A boy from East Auckland who grew up as an avid Warriors fanToscano-Anderson are now champions with their children’s team, becoming first player of Mexican descent win an NBA title.
So when he saw a young fan in a Warriors jersey yelling and cheering as he walked by, Toscano-Anderson couldn’t help but show him a little love.
And even went further.
Toscano-Anderson, asking permission, lifted a young fan over the barrier and let him run with him through the streets of the parade.
An incredible moment neither Toscano-Anderson nor the boy will ever forget.
“I love you,” the boy can be heard saying to Toscano-Anderson.
