Reporters at Thursday’s practice report that Herbert was throwing passes and doing more than he did in the first practice of the week. Some of those passes went to wide receiver Keenan Allenwho is recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of action last week.

The bad news is related to the quarterback JC Jackson and center Corey Linsley. Jackson returned from an ankle injury last week but has missed both days of training this week. Linsley has a knee injury and also missed both team practices.
