Irving, after seemingly countless rumors and speculation about what he’ll be doing next year, is reportedly planning a $36.9 million contract with the Nets for next season. Trying to make yourself look revolutionary for accepting almost $37 million to live in Brooklyn and play basketball is definitely one way to do business.

The sports world naturally had many jokes at the ready. With a quote like that, it’s hard to blame them.
