Giants, quarterback Leonard Williams went for an MRI on Monday after injuring his knee in Sunday’s victory over the Panthers, and head coach Brian Daball received some pretty positive updates on his condition at a press conference.
Daboll said that Williams’ knee was “better than it could have been” and that Williams felt better than after the game. Daball said Williams is “everyday” and added that he hopes the veteran “heals quickly”.
Williams’ injury left the Giants in the top seven as they were already without Kaivon Thibodeau as well as Aziz Ojulari along the edges of the line. Both players have been involved in practice, so there is some hope that they will return to play against Dallas next Monday.
This week’s practice reports will show if that’s true for Williams as well.
