Last week, Lions head coach Dan Campbell said the team was looking to get a rookie wide receiver. Jameson Williams lineup after Thanksgiving, and they begin the process of getting him ready for Monday’s game.
The team announced that they are opening a window for Williams to practice with the team before he is activated from the non-football injury list. Williams, who tore his cruciate ligaments while playing for Alabama, will have 21 days to practice with the team before the deadline to activate him expires, and he can be activated at any point during that window.
With the Bills game on Thursday, the Lions will only have a practice session on Monday, so Williams will be able to get back into the game.
The Lions are currently on a three-game winning streak, and Williams’ ambition for an NFL debut is yet another reason to feel good about the trajectory that things are currently on in Detroit.
