What you need to know
The Ohio Bobcats have enjoyed the comforts of home in the last two games, but now they have to hit the road. This past Tuesday at 7:30 pm ET, Ohio’s RedHawks will face Miami, Ohio at Fred S. Yager Stadium. Both teams are looking to continue their momentum from their previous victories.
When you finish 214 yards ahead of your opponent, as the Bobcats did last Tuesday, a favorable outcome is almost certain to follow. Everything went well against the Buffalo Bulls when they won 45-24. Quarterback Curtis Rourke continued his habit of throwing insane numbers, passing five touchdowns and 317 yards on 29 attempts, as well as gaining 45 yards on the ground.
Ohio’s defense was also notable as it embarrassed the Buffalo offensive line, who sacked QB Cole Snyder six times for a total of 33 yards lost. The leader was LB Bryce Houston and his two sacks. Houston now has three sacks in nine games.
Meanwhile, Miami (Ohio) had enough points to win, and two weeks ago a few more points against Akron Zips, who took the game with a score of 27-9. Neither had outstanding offensive play for Miami, Ohio, but they got points from TE Nate Muirsch, RB Keyon Mauzy and DB Jaques Warren.
This next competition is expected to be close, with the Bobcats leaving with a 2.5 point lead. Maybe they should take a chance against the scatter as they are currently on a five win streak in ATS.
The wins took Ohio to 6-3 and the RedHawks to 4-5. A couple of stats to keep an eye on: Ohio ranks 15th in the nation in steals, with just four in a season. Miami (Ohio) is completely equal to them: they also enter the duel with four thrown interceptions. So expect both teams to feel comfortable airing the ball.
