Mike Perry, Chad Mendes and Ben Rothwell will return to action on the BKFC card scheduled for April 29 in Denver.
The map also serves as a landing point for the BKFC Women’s Flyweight Championship fight when Kristin Feria takes on Beck Rawlings.
BKFC representatives confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.
For now, Perry, Mendes and Rothwell are waiting for final confirmations of opponents, but their fights are expected to be announced soon.
Perry had previously teased his return in April as the promotion promised him a notable opponent following his latest win against Bellator contender Michael “Venom” Page.
“They said I would be back as a main event in April and they haven’t released an opponent yet. They said it was going to be a big name,” Perry told MMA Fighting.
“This is what concerns me. They can just say, “Mike is going to fight in April, we’re going to fix that firmly, and when we know who it’s going to be, we’ll give him a call and he’ll come out.” ‘It’s easy for me. I just want to throw it away.”
Meanwhile, Mendez makes his second appearance in the BKFC ring after signing a bare-knuckle contract following the end of his MMA career. Although he remains on the UFC roster even in retirement, the promotion has allowed him to fight barehanded.
In his first fight, Mendes defeated Joshua “Fames” Alvarez via TKO in the fourth round in February 2022. Now he’ll be back just over a year later, looking to continue making waves in his new home at BKFC.
As for Rothwell, he also made a successful BKFC debut after landing a crushing 19-second knockout victory over Bobo O’Bannon last October. Rothwell signed with BKFC after securing his release from the UFC after over 11 years with the organization.
More fights will be added to the map in the coming days along with rivals for Perry, Mendez and Rothwell.
