Michigan State Football continues to hunt for a big running back goal in the class of 2024.
Four-star runner Jeremy Payne of Missouri City, Texas, named his top 12 schools on Wednesday, including the Spartans. Michigan State was joined by TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Houston, Kansas, Oregon, Duke, Auburn, Pennsylvania, and Oregon.
Payne is ranked 14th among runners and 195th overall by 247Sports in the class of 2024. He is also listed as the No. 32 player from the State of Texas.
According to 247Sports, Michigan State is one of 23 programs offering Payne a scholarship. Oklahoma is seen as one of the early favorites for Payne to commit, but over time we’ll see the Spartans shake out this elite prospect.
