The two biggest college basketball brands could merge in the first round of this year’s NCAA Tournament.
On Friday, The Athletic released an updated prediction for the NCAA Tournament bracket, with Michigan State finishing 9th. This, at first glance, seemed rather low for the Spartans compared to other bracketers, but what draws more attention is who they face in the first round – the No. 8 seed Duke.
Michigan State and Duke have played their fair share of big games over the years, including numerous in the NCAA Tournament. Just last year, Duke knocked out the Spartans in the second round.
But this will be the first time these two teams will meet this early in the event and they will be amazing on TV ratings. So, with that said, this could be a matchup we actually see in a few weeks…
