NASCAR weekend schedule: Michigan International Speedway

This week, the NASCAR Cup Series moves into the final month of the regular season as the 400-mile race takes place at the Michigan International Speedway on Sunday.

Michigan, Richmond, Watkins Glen and Daytona will close regular season schedules this month. The playoffs are scheduled to open on September 4 at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina.

Tyler Reddick won last Sunday’s race at Indianapolis for his second win of the year. Reddick is one of only 14 drivers to qualify for the playoff bracket through race wins. The other two playoff spots are currently filled Ryan Blaney as well as Martin Truex Jr.

The Xfinity Series races are scheduled for 3:30 pm ET on Saturday (US network). The cup race, also in the US, is scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 pm.
