NBA All-Star Saturday: Antetokounmpos in Skills; Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum in 3-Point Contest; Trey Murphy III in Slam Dunk

NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City starts Friday at celebrity game and rising star gamethen continues with All-Star Saturday Night and the All-Star Game on Sunday at the Vivint Arena, home of the Utah Jazz.

Participants of Saturday night contests – Skill Challenge, 3 Point Contest and Slam Dunk was announced on Tuesday. Events start at 20:00 ET on Saturday (TNT). Here are the players participating in each event:

Skill Challenge

Skills Challenge will consist of three rounds: relay, pass and shooting. The winning team in each round will receive test points, and the team with the most test points after three rounds will be the winner. If there is a tie, there will be a tie-break and tied teams will take half court throws.

The judges for the Slam Dunk are Jamal Crawford, Lisa Leslie, Karl Malone, Harold Miner and Dominic Wilkins.

NBA All-Star Game

All-Star players, reserves and injury substitutions were previously announced. The All-Star Game Draft will be held on the court before the game, with the captains being selected first from the starting pool and then from the reserve pool. The draft starts at 7:30 pm ET Sunday (TNT/TBS). The game starts at 8:30 pm ET.

Notes: Golden State Warriors defenseman Stephen Curry (leg) and New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hamstring) were originally drafted as starters but would not play due to injuries. They were replaced by Morant and Markkanen. Edwards and Fox were named as replacements after injuries as reserves.

Notes: Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant was selected as an Eastern Conference starter by the Brooklyn Nets before the trade deadline. Durant will not play due to a sprained ligament. Embiid replaced Durant as a starter, while Siakam was named as a substitute after injury as a reserve. Irving was named an Eastern Conference starter while still a member of the Nets.

Brown has a fractured face and will miss his third game in a row on Tuesday. If he fails to play in the All-Star Game, an additional substitution will be scheduled following an injury.

Rising stars

It will feature 1st and 2nd year NBA players, as well as G League players. Rising Stars game at 9pm ET Friday (TNT). Four teams will compete in two games and the winners of those games will play in the third game for the title of rising stars.

The two semi-final games will be played to a final target score of 40 and the championship game will be played to a target score of 25.

The teams are coached by Pau Gasol, Deron Williams and Joaquim Noah, who were selected from the NBA rookies and sophomores, and Jason Terry, who will lead the G League team.
