The NBA All-Star Weekend continues, which means it’s time to take another look at the Sportzshala Rookie Power Rankings. For each player in our top 10, we’ll provide a player comparison against the former or current NBA All-Star that every rookie expects to be like if they can reach their full potential.
The Rookie of the Year race continues to be explosive, with bookmaker Caesars naming Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero as the clear favorite (-950) to claim the award ahead of Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Maturin (+550). The next best odds belong to Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler (+2,000), followed by Detroit Pistons defenseman Jayden Ivey (+5,000).
We rank the best freshman players based on their current performance, not future potential. This is not a reworked version, but rather an evolving list that considers the newcomers most valuable to their teams.
