Ndamukong Su admitted that the door is likely closed to a potential return to the Buccaneers.
But there are a few other areas where the veteran defensive back could continue his career, including at least one team in the AFC West.
During his appearance on ESPN NFL Live on Monday, Su was asked how he felt about joining the Raiders, given the team would likely need some help inside their defensive line. Su revealed that he had discussions about this with the current Las Vegas players.
“Chandler Jones as well as Max Crosby, I exchanged messages with them the other day,” Su said via Cassie Soto of Las Vegas Review Magazine. “Of course, this is an interesting opportunity. Let’s see how it ends. But this AFC West is very, very tough – which would be fun. If you make it out of this, you’re almost destined to make the Super Bowl.”
Suh then added on Twitter on Tuesday morning, “Raiders can be funny“.
This off-season saw an arms race at AFK Zapad, including – among other things – Russell Wilson join the broncos, Khalil Mak joined the Chargers along with Jones and Davante Adams join the raiders. Soh could be another stepping stone in the Las Vegas belt as the club tries to topple Kansas City in the division.
