Ndamukong Suh wants to continue NFL career, but says ‘It looks like the Bucs are out of the picture’

Free agent defenseman Ndamukong Soha’s future is unknown in the NFL, but he doesn’t think the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be his team in the future. Su joined the Bucs in 2019 and was with them until 2021, winning Super Bowl LV during his time there.

The 35-year-old opened up about where he envisions playing next year. NFL Live on ESPN2. on Monday, saying, “Looks like the Bucks have fallen out of the picture.”

His feelings don’t come out of nowhere. Earlier this month, the Bucks signed defensive tackle Akim Hicks in a message sent to Suhu. He still wants to keep playing and believes he has something else in the tank, but where he will end up, if at all, remains to be seen.

All three of Su’s deals with Tampa Bay were one-year deals worth $9.25, $8, and $9 million in 2019, 2020, and 2021, respectively. He previously played for the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Rams after being selected second in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Su is a former Defensive Rookie of the Year, a three-time All-Pro first-team player, and a five-time pro bowler, most recently in 2016.
