Members of the Netflix team were spotted at the WM Phoenix Open last month, and on Tuesday, the streaming platform officially announced that the second season of ‘Full Swing’ is ready.
The streaming platform has announced that the popular documentary series has been revived and filming has already begun. It is also noted that new ones will be added to the cast, although it is not known which players from the first season will return, or if they will return at all.
“These shows quickly appealed to mainstream golf and tennis fans and also attracted brand-new fans from all over the world,” said Brandon Rigg, vice president of Netflix, which produces unscripted docu-series. “Like so much else on our growing sports roster, engaging characters, competitive stakes and vibrant storytelling reveal sides of the game you’ve never seen before, and we’re thrilled to follow the unpredictable twists and turns of the year ahead.”
Full Swing season 1 premiered on February 15, and since then, according to PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, the documentary series has “consistently ranked in the top 10 on Netflix worldwide.”
