“I chose San Diego because when I was there I watched them play and practice and I really enjoyed it,” he said. “I like their new head coach and he is a guy who has been coaching for a long time. He knows what he’s doing and what it takes for a big guy like me to get to where I want to be in the NBA.”
“They would use me inside out and where I can play a little and ride from edge to edge. It’s what they told me that I could do it and I’m good at it.”
San Diego is currently 4-1 under a new head coach. Steve Lavin what a talented big man drew attention to.
“Now they are doing well, the score is 4-1,” Kuir said. “I love how they use their big money and how they get involved in the game.”
With Kuir, his main goal will be to develop his game in hopes of playing in the NBA after his college career.
“I want to get better and improve my game while I’m in San Diego,” he said. “I have a long way to go and I know what I need to do to get into the NBA. For that, I need to work harder, focus on my studies and all aspects of basketball.”
Quir is currently unsure if he will be able to play this collegiate season.
“They are trying to get me released,” he said. “I’m not sure if I’ll be sitting around all year or if I can play next semester.”
