Early chances for week 11
(All lines from Caesars bookmaker, all games on Sundays unless otherwise noted)
Titans (6-3) vs. Packers (4-6) Thursday
opening line: Packers -1.5
There seems to be some confidence in the Packers at last. That line has since moved 2.5 points after Green Bay was able to upset the Cowboys at Lambo Field on Sunday in a game where passing play looked much better. Aaron Rodgers looked at Christian Watson several times, and the rookie rewarded him with three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Tennessee welcomed the return of Ryan Tannehill with a win over the Broncos, where the quarterback threw two touchdowns. The Titans are 7-0 in their last seven games and 4-0 away in their last four games. As for the Packers, they are 1-4 ATS in their last five games since the ATS win.
Bears (3-7) and Falcons (4-6)
opening line: Falcons -4.5
This lane has since dropped to Falcons -3, and it’s not surprising that by the time we reach the start of the game, it will even drop below that critical number. A lot of that has to do with Justin Fields’ great performance in the last few games. The 2021 first-round pick has exploded in big success, and just in week 10, he rushed for 147 yards and touched down twice, as well as passing for 167 yards and two goals. While it wasn’t enough to take down Detroit, Chicago suddenly showed us that they were a dangerous offense. Meanwhile, it looks like Atlanta are in decline after a nearly lifeless game against the Panthers last Thursday, when Marcus Mariota didn’t play very well. The Falcons are 0-4 ATS in their last four games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games.
Panthers (3-7) at Ravens (6-3)
opening line: Crows -12.5
This line is currently at Ravens -12 but it will be interesting to see how much – if at all – it will change following the news that Baker Mayfield will get a start for Carolina after PJ Walker suffered a high ankle sprain at match against Atlanta. Mayfield has been 1-4 SU with the Panthers this season and 3-5 SU against Baltimore in his career. As a team, the Carolinas are 1-7 ATS in their last eight away games. Meanwhile, the Ravens are retiring and need to rest well before this face-to-face meeting. However, this hasn’t been as much of an advantage as you might imagine lately. In their last five games since the bye, the Ravens are 1-4 ATS. They are also 0-4-1 ATS in their last five home games.
Browns (3-6) to Bills (6-3)
opening line: Accounts -6.5
That number has since jumped to Bills -9 and it will be interesting to see if it turns into double digits. Buffalo broke the Vikings’ heart at home in overtime after having multiple opportunities to take the game to a win. However, Josh Allen’s critical fumble at his goal line opened up the opportunity for Minnesota to come back. Despite throwing three turnovers in the loss, Allen looked good after having his status in question all week with an elbow injury. It wouldn’t be much of a shock if he was restricted again for a week to treat this injury. As for the Browns, they were fired on by the Dolphins 39-17 in Miami on Sunday and lost almost 500 yards on offense. Buffalo have beaten weaker opponents, with an ATS record of 10-2-2 in their last 14 games against clubs with a losing record. They are also 6-2-2 ATS in their last 10 games since losing to SU.
Commanders (4-5) at the Texans (1-7-1)
