NHL Awards Watch: Who’s leading for Hart, Norris, Calder?

This season, the Boston Bruins have dominated everything. Well, except for the breakaway NHL All-Star Skills competition, where David Pastrnak probably should have hone a little more in homage to Lucky Gilmore.

Here’s a consolation prize for the Bruins’ star forward: he was named one of the NHL’s top three most valuable players this season.

Pastrnak is one of the new names in the NHL Awards Watch for February, which also features new contenders for Rookie of the Year and Goalie of the Year. Meanwhile, the Norris Trophy race for best defenseman is still extremely competitive.

Like every month, we anonymously polled a wide range of Professional Hockey Writers Association voters to see which way the wind is blowing in favor of the current leaders. We made sure it was a cross section of the entire league, trying to get as many points of view as possible.

Keep in mind that the PHWA votes for Hart, Norris, Calder, Selke and Lady Byng; the broadcasters vote for Jack Adams and the general managers take care of Vezina.
