NHL trade deadline: Stars reportedly acquiring Max Domi from Blackhawks

Dallas Stars is purchase ahead Max Domi of the Chicago Blackhawks, according to Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff.

added Eric Engels of Sportsnet. that Dallas will also get the AHL goalkeeper (Dylan Wells) in the deal, and goalie Anton Khudobin and a second-round pick in the other direction.

After a couple of bad years, Domi is spending a season with the Blackhawks after signing a one-year, $3 million contract with Chicago last summer. The 28-year-old has 18 goals and 49 points in 60 games, the most he has achieved since the 2018-19 season, in which he scored 28 goals and 72 points for the Canadiens.

During the offseason, Domi will become an unrestricted free agent.

Khudobin, 36, spent the entire season with the Texas Stars of the AHL, posting a 13-4-4 record with 2.89 GAA and .899 SV%. He played a key role in the Stars’ memorial march to the 2020 Stanley Cup Finals.
