Texas No. 6 hopes for the Big 12 title were hit hard on the road at Lubbock. Texas Tech upset the Longhorns 74–67 due to a 25-point performance from De’Vion Harmon.
Texas Tech scored an exceptional 46% from the field and 50% from three. The Red Raiders were hitting hard after hard hitting the Texas defenses.
The Longhorns returned to action after being 13 points behind early in the second half. Three-pointer Dylan Disu tied the game at 64 with four minutes left. Texas Tech pulled down the Texas defense to end the game 10–3.
Marcus Carr’s efforts tonight helped keep Texas alive late into the night. Carr scored 23 points and added six assists to help Longhorn’s stagnant offense.
The defeat moves Texas to 20-6 overall and 9-4 in the Big 12 game. Texas is now tied with Baylor for a conference lead after Monday night’s action. Texas Tech wins its third Big 12 victory while battling for NCAA Tournament survival.
Ahead of Texas rivalry with Oklahoma. The Longhorns are hoping to bounce back in front of a home crowd on Saturday.
