Ironically, CJ Stroud was dropped from Walter Camp’s preseason All-American roster. We can understand that first team honors go to reigning Heisman winner Bryce Young of Alabama. Tide QB deserved this award. However, we can’t understand what Stroud was left in favor of USC defenseman Caleb Williams.

Stroud finished the 2021 season as strong as anyone else and is expected to pick up where he left off. This isn’t a snub to Williams, but Stroud has proven his worth and should have more talent around him as Lincoln Riley looks to rebuild USC and bring the Trojans back to prominence in the country.

Maybe this will be a rock on Stroud’s shoulder, giving him another reason to prove people wrong again, as he did all last year.

Regardless, here are four Buckeyes that made the list.
