With the US Football League 2.0 coming to an end this weekend in Canton, Ohio, the thirst and hunger for football will be back stronger than ever. And while I love the Canadian Football League, adding another new league with a team from Ohio is great.
Major League Football has been in development since 2014 and they teased us for almost a decade, to the point where I thought it would never happen. However, the new league officially kicks off on August 6th. The league will have four teams, and one of those teams is the Ohio Force.
The Ohio Force recently announced that former football player and Ohio State coach Bill Conley will be their head coach. Conley played football under Woody Hayes from 1968 to 1971 and began his coaching career from 1984 to 2004 when he teamed with Earl Bruce, John Cooper and Jim Tressell.
Conley was given the opportunity to lead his own program in 2010 when he was hired as the head coach of the Division II program at Dominican Ohio. There, he led the Panthers to the playoffs twice before leaving after the 2015 season.
We wish Conley and Sila good luck!
