Pablo Insua leaves Huesca

PPablo Insua is no longer a Huesca player and aims to strengthen Sporting de Gijón. The Galician centre-back was part of Ángel Martín González’s long list of players who were not included in the plans, mainly financial, for next season. The budget adjustment is forcing the new sports director to carry out financial engineering to adapt Huesca’s economic performance to its new reality in which it aims to have half the salary limit it had last season.

Insua leaves the Huesca team after four seasons. He arrived in the summer of 2018 to reinforce Huesca in his first foray into the top flight. He has played a total of 64 games as a Barça player in which he has experienced two relegations from the First Division, one promotion and this last irregular season. The Galician has managed to overcome two enormous adversities after suffering a torn cruciate ligament in both knees, something that is part of him and his past.

Next to the azulgrana captain will also be Euse Monzó, at least until December, since the Valencian is going to become part of the dynamics of the first team.

As of Monday at eight in the morning, the medical examinations for the Barça squad begin. On Wednesday morning, the first training session will take place at the IES Pirámide and in the afternoon they will head to the pre-season stage in Benasque, where the team will remain for a week.

In addition to Monzó, the following players will participate from the academy: Carlos Kevin, Manu Rico, Hugo Anglada, Pablo Tomeo and David García. Anglada will also help in a rear axis that for now is almost orphaned.

In addition, the Colombian winger Juan Peñaloza will not return to Huesca in principle and will continue on loan in Colombia.
