The Patriots are currently having some injury issues on the offensive line, so they signed a healthy player from the Jets training roster on Tuesday.
ESPN’s Field Yates reports that they have signed Conor McDermott. McDermott entered the league as a 2017 New England sixth-round pick, but the Bills demanded a waiver before the start of his rookie season.
McDermott played eight games for the Bills over the next two seasons, and he made 35 appearances for the Jets in the last four seasons. In addition to his work as a blocker, McDermott caught a one-yard touchdown against the Jaguars last season.
