Add the Patriots to the list of teams that have signed all of their 2022 draft picks.
New England completed this process on Thursday. The team announced the signing of the receiver of the second round Taikuan Thornton and quarterback Bailey Zappe. First round defense Cole Strange signed earlier this week, and the other seven picks closed their deals at the start of the offseason.
Thornton had 62 catches for 948 yards and 10 touchdowns at Baylor last season. He will compete for work in a group of recipients, which also includes Jacob Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, DeVante Parker, Nelson Agolor, Tre Nixon, N’Kil Harry, Lil’Jordan Humphreyas well as Ty Montgomery.
Zappe moved from Houston Baptist to Western Kentucky last year and set an NCAA single-season record of 5,967 yards and 62 touchdowns in his only season at school. Brian Hoyer this is the only backup Mac Jones on the New England list.
