From goal-scoring Erling Haaland to Arsenal’s radiant youth to the league-wide mascot carrying his teams, this award could go to all sorts of places.

Below are the Premier League Player of the Season contenders heading into the homestretch.

Premier League Player of the Season Candidate Ranking

7. Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)

KDB leads the Premier League in assists once again and his silky passing and crosses power this Manchester City team. He’s had some slump in form this season and struggled a bit with injuries, but he’s still consistently throwing stunning moments and always eager to convert them. He is a character just like you. His connection with Erling Haaland has been especially strong and KDB is poised to lead City to victory at the end of the season.

6. Harry Kane (Tottenham)

He scored 20 Premier League goals for the sixth time in nine full Premier League seasons in his career. In his other three seasons he has scored 17, 18 and 17. His consistency is remarkable and Kane is on track to beat his best ever Premier League record of 30 points. the game is clear. With Heung Min Sung having a poor season, the Spurs will be worried that Kane is suffering from back pain at the end of the season due to everything he has done this campaign…

5. Ivan Tony (Brentford)

Brentford’s main player has 15 goals and is leading their unlikely attack on Europe. The Bees and Tony was supposed to be something of a one-season miracle, but it isn’t. Tony has developed his game and like Kane, he connects the game superbly and if he doesn’t score, he is sure to help create a lot of chances. Off the field, the FA accuse him of alleged violations of their betting rules, but on this Tony was incredible. Also, his penalty record and technique are amazing.

4. Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

In red-hot post-World Cup form, this is the Marcus Rashford we know and love. His runs from behind caused chaos and Rashford became United’s mascot. He needs more help to share the burden of scoring goals, but he sees plenty of chances falling in his path as United play directly and play to his strengths. Rashford is so hard to spot no matter where he starts on the pitch, and has added a polished finish to his remarkable pace and smart runs.

3. Martin Odegaard (Arsenal)

The Arsenal captain was brilliant and so calm with the ball, but he also brought a steely determination to his game. He blossomed as a leader under Mikel Arteta, scoring important goals and assisting throughout the Gunners’ campaign. Odegaard has always been considered a brilliant playmaker, but he has added more tenacity and drive to his game, and his connections with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are the main reason Arsenal are fighting for the title.

2. Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

Scoring goals at an incredible rate throughout the season, Haaland finds it so hard to stop when Manchester City are on the rise. He scored all kinds of goals and scored without problems. There are still periods when he goes several games without goals, but he always bounces back and his lag game improves even as Premier League defenders become more aware of his movements. He is a special talent, powerhouse and gate machine. If City win the title, Haaland’s goals will be a big reason.

1. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

It’s hard to believe that Saka is only 21 years old. He was a World Cup star with England and his early goals and assists in games were Arsenal’s key feature in the title challenge. Saku is so hard to stop once he gets into action, as he can go in any direction, make an amazing cross or score his own beauty. He is a full-fledged attacking player and an Arsenal academy graduate is a club legend in the making. What a season he’s had and he never seems to run out of steam.
