The Brazilian started her professional career 8-0 but lost to defending flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko in her debut promotion in 2018. After that, she lost by decisions to current fan favorites Molly McCann and Luana Carolina three defeats in a row.

But in February 2020, she finally broke through by knocking out Shana Dobson in 40 seconds in New Zealand. And after tripping later that year due to weight loss, she knocked out Gina Mazani for two in a row in May 2021.

In February, Cachoeira bounced back from a loss to Gillian Robertson with a win over Ji Yong Kim to give her three wins in four fights and her confidence in the UFC.

On Saturday, Cachoeira (11-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC) will take on Arian Lipsky (14-7 MMA, 3-4 UFC) to open the main card of the UFC on ESPN 40 tournament at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The map airs on ESPN and airs on ESPN+.
