Prisco’s Week 11 NFL picks: Patriots sweep Jets; Vikings stay hot vs. Cowboys; Eagles struggle, but edge Colts

For some strange reason, I can’t seem to get my picks right, especially when it comes to my CBSSports.com expert chooses. I’m under 0.500 and getting worse every week. Last week I was 5-9 which brought my record down to 67-77-6.

It is bad news.

The good news is that I went 5-1 with my best picks on the Pick-Six podcast, bringing my record to 34-23-2 for the season. What will I take.

My straight picks were 8-6 to take that record to 85-64-1, which isn’t that bad. But it’s time to do better in selecting experts. I’m trying to lose weeks.

Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons (-3)

Sunday 13:00 ET (Fox, FuboTV)

The Falcons will be slightly rested from last Thursday’s game and they’re still alive in the division race. This game will feature two quarterbacks who love to run, and Chicago’s Justin Fields will be a real test for any defense. But I think the Falcons will find a way to slow him down here and take the win after losing to the Panthers.

To choose: Falcons 27, Bears 23

Carolina Panthers vs. Baltimore Ravens (-12)

Sunday 13:00 ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest odds:

Baltimore Ravens -12.5

The Panthers will start Baker Mayfield as quarterback and PJ Walker is injured. The Ravens know him well when he was in Cleveland. The Ravens defense is also starting to take shape, which is not good news for the Panthers. Expect Baltimore to say goodbye with a big win.

To choose: Ravens 30, Panthers 16

Cleveland Browns – Buffalo Bills (-8.5)

Sunday 13:00 ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Latest odds:

Buffalo Bills -8

The Browns are playing for the second week in a row after losing to Miami last week. The Bills suffered a horrendous loss to the Vikings in a game in which they were 17 points late. They will get rid of the disappointment in the Browns’ defense, which was terrible. Look for Josh Allen to bounce back with a big day.

To choose: Bills 35, Browns 21

Washington Commanders (-3) to Houston Texans

Sunday 13:00 ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest odds:

Washington Commanders -3

Commanders upset the Eagles on Monday night, and they’re on the road for the second week in a row. It’s tricky, but the Texans have run protection issues that commanders will use as they did against the Eagles. Expect Washington to top .500 with a win.

To choose: Commanders 24, Texans 17

Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) vs. Indianapolis Colts

Sunday 13:00 ET (CBS, Paramount+)

The Eagles bounce back from their first loss, and the Colts pick up an impressive win in Jeff Saturday’s first game as interim manager. They looked better, moving back to Matt Ryan at quarterback. The Eagles have defensive issues that could show up if Jonathan Taylor has a big day. I think the Eagles will get back on track and win this one, but it’s close.

To choose: Eagles 27, Colts 24

New York Jets – New England Patriots (-3)

Sunday 13:00 ET (CBS, Paramount+)

It’s a big game in terms of playoff opportunities. The Patriots beat the Jets three weeks ago in their place in a defense-dominated game. This should be another defense-dominated game, and at home I’ll take the Patriot defense.

To choose: Patriots 20, Jets 16

Los Angeles Rams – New Orleans Saints (-4)

Sunday 13:00 ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest odds:

New Orleans Saints -2.5

The Rams are in serious trouble and will now be forced to play without Cooper Kupp due to an ankle injury. It’s bad for an attack that struggled and might not have had Matthew Stafford (concussion). The Saints looked lifeless on offense after losing to the Steelers last week. But at home, I think that will change. Expect a big game from Alvin Kamara when the Saints win it.

To choose: Saints 24, Rams 18

Detroit Lions – New York Giants (-3)

Sunday 13:00 ET (Fox, FuboTV)

This is the second road game in a row for the Lions, who won in Chicago last week. The attack continues to play well, but they still have problems with the defense. Look out for a big game here from Saquon Barkley for the Giants as they race for a playoff spot. Giants take.

To choose: Giants 26, Lions 19

Las Vegas Raiders – Denver Broncos (-2.5)

Sunday 4:05 pm ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest odds:

Las Vegas Raiders +2.5

This is a game between the two biggest disappointments in the league. The Broncos can’t score and the Raiders can’t stop anyone. Something has to give. I think the Raiders will get their stops and Derek Carr and the offense will find a way to win.

To choose: Raiders 28, Broncos 21

Dallas Cowboys (-1) vs. Minnesota Vikings

Sunday 4:25 pm ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Latest odds:

Minnesota Vikings +2

The Vikings are back home after a miraculous win over the Bills last week that saw them go from 17 to late. The Cowboys are on the road for the second week in a row after losing to the Packers in the fourth quarter by 14 points. The Cowboys had major lighting issues last week, which Justin Jefferson will take advantage of. Look for Vikings to continue.
