Lincoln Riley usually picks up one or two quarterbacks per cycle and leads the pursuit of that coveted passerby until that young man decides to go to college.
And the USC coach, who has three Heisman Trophy winners in that position, has already identified one he would like to coach in the 2026 cycle. This is Carrollton (Georgia), a talented freshman in high school. Julian Lewis.
Lewis visited the Trojans campus on Friday and told 247Sports that Riley and the Trojans have extended the scholarship.
“It was amazing!” Lewis spoke to 247Sports about his experience.
At 6’1″ and 175 pounds, Lewis was certainly brilliant this fall, leading Carrollton to a state championship game in Peach State’s biggest class with 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns.
USC is one of 30 programs already offering scholarships, but it’s clear that Lewis will seriously consider this program.
“USC has a rich football history of great quarterbacks,” Lewis said. “Coach Riley is really cool. The way he develops quarterbacks and what he did with the guys he coached is amazing.
“It’s a blessing and I’m excited to continue learning about USC.”
Other offers for Lewis include Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio and Texas.
