The Rams All-Pro cornerback underwent shoulder surgery on Tuesday, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said, according to a source. Ramsey is expected to be ready for the start of the 2022 season, Rapoport said.

On Tuesday, Ramsey posted a photo of himself with his children with a bandage on his left shoulder. Rapoport adds that Ramsey played with tears in his eyes in the 2021 season.

Ramsey was still able to make his third All-Pro season last year despite shoulder injuries. The six-year-old professional set a career high with four interceptions in 2021, adding 16 passes defended, 77 tackles, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble in 16 regular season games played.

What’s more, CB’s closure also played on those injuries during the Rams’ Super Bowl win in the postseason. Ramsey also didn’t shy away from covering each opponent’s best receiver.

The Rams are poised to defend their title in 2022, and a healthy Ramsey only boosts their goal.
