Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is active and will start against the Panthers on Sunday after missing his last practice due to illness.

Jackson was a full member of Baltimore’s Wednesday and Thursday workouts, but was not present on Friday as coach John Harbaugh attributed Jackson’s absence to an illness that was too severe for him to train.

“He’ll be fine,” Harbaugh said Friday. “He tried to get into training, but he was too sick.”

At the time, Harbaugh elaborated that despite Jackson being officially named questionable in Friday’s injury report, he expected him to start, stating that he should be reasonably healthy by Sunday.

Jackson’s absence would be a major blow to the Ravens as he contributes not only to passing but also as one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the league. By Week 11, Jackson had 1,768 passing yards and 16 touchdowns, 635 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Also a notable active player on Sunday’s game is tight end Mark Andrews, who missed the Ravens’ last game before the bye due to knee and shoulder injuries. But he will be back on the field with Jackson on Sunday.

Baltimore (6-3) and Carolina (3-7) kick off at 1:00 pm ET Sunday.
