But in the case of Lamar Jackson’s personal throwing coach, Adam Dedo, the Ravens support his work and welcome him to training camp along with the Ravens’ coaching staff.

“We are very familiar and very comfortable with Adam DedoRavens offensive coordinator Greg Roman said on the team’s website. “We spent a lot of time talking to him and pretty much explaining what we wanted to do and he gave us feedback on what he likes to do and kind of really felt it. And indeed, after the initial conversation with him, I thought, “Dude, this guy is really smart.” He’s really good.”

Ravens coaches believe that Jackson’s shooting mechanics have improved since he began working with Dedo, and Roman and quarterbacks coach James Urban have welcomed Dedo’s contribution.

“Anything we can do to help our cause, right? And I think Adam is a real strength for us. I love talking to him about football,” said Roman. “Later after today’s meetings, we’ll sit down and talk about quarterback play, technique, fundamentals, different quarterbacks in the league, and whatnot. So it’s a pleasure to work with him.”

As the Ravens seek to sign Jackson to a long-term contract extension, they want him to see Baltimore as a place where he is respected and appreciated, and giving his personal trainer unfettered access is part of that.
