The day the state run back Jeremiah Cobb names that his college destination may soon approach.
Cobb, a four-star running back from Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School in the Alabama capital, has yet to give a date for his participation, but says fans should expect his announcement shortly after he visits Tennessee this coming weekend.
The good news for Auburn fans is that 247sports and On3 are predicting he will dedicate himself to Brian Harsinprogram. Cobb has two crystal ball predictions by Auburn from 247 and On3 gives the Tigers 95.8% chance to put Cobb in line with their recruiting prediction machine.
He recently made an official visit to Auburn, where he said he enjoyed spending time in the Plains.
“Visit was great,” Cobb said in an interview with Auburn Live.. “I had a very fun weekend with the staff and all the coaches. I just hang out at dinner with Coach Cadillac (Williams) and Coach Harsin and get to know them not only as coaches but as men. It was very cool. We have a very good relationship with Coach Cadillac, especially after this weekend. He loves music. I found out about it this weekend. He loves old music, country music, R&B… he loves it all. The first evening at dinner, he got up and sang karaoke. it was a lot of fun to watch.”
Cobb has become one of the most dynamic runners in the state, running over 2,000 yards in the last two seasons. In 2021, Cobb rushed for 2,163 yards on 195 carries with 30 touchdowns. He also had 24 catches for 561 yards for Catholic, who averaged 45.4 points per game.
Cobb is currently No. 18 overall out of Alabama and No. 8 in running back in the nation.
