The 76ers are looking for more creation of shots, shots and depth on the perimeter and think they may have found it in Eric Gordon.

The price is likely to be Matisse Tibull in what will likely turn into a three-team trade, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

There is some logic in the three-team deal.

Portland needs protection around Damian Lillard, and for all his offensive shortcomings, Tybull is an elite defender with the ball. Philadelphia is trying to sell him and the 23rd pick in exchange. Houston wants to pick Gordon in the first round.

Portland also wants to trade their seventh first-round pick for a player who can help now, though he may not be in the deal.

If the Sixers get Gordon, the Trail Blazers get Tybull, and the rebuilding Rockets get a couple of picks, that looks like a deal that could be done. Many NBA deals go to the two-yard line and fall apart, but at least this one has some logic.

Keep an eye out for this potential trade and many more on what could be a tumultuous evening at the NBA draft.
