Ultimate defender of the giants Adori Jackson injured his knee returning a punt during Sunday’s loss to the Lions.
The injury will put him out of action for several weeks.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Jackson will miss four to six weeks due to the MCL strain.
Head coach Brian Daball said after the game that he had no regrets that Jackson returned to return the punt.
In his second year with the Giants, Jackson recorded seven passes defended, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 10 games.
New York will play Dallas on Thanksgiving.
