Lakers have high expectations and want their next coach to have a plan to use Russell Westbrook.
They also have LeBron James, Anthony Davis which means at least a chance for a championship.
The next coach of Los Angeles may be doomed to failure. But he could also be wildly successful.
Who will get the job?
Apparently Terry Stotts Darwin Ham Or Kenny Atkinson.
Shams Charania from The Athletic:
Sources: Los Angeles Lakers finalists for Bucks assistant Darwin Ham, Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson, and former Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts. The next phase of the interview is expected to take place in person in Los Angeles.

Stotts is the safest choice. He won 56% of his games in his nine years as the Trail Blazers coach. His attacks combine simple games with more complex moves. Defense would have been a problem, but Portland’s defensive problems were mostly a result of the roster.
Ham is an unidentified candidate. Ham, a longtime assistant to Mike Budenholzer with the Hawks and Bucks, has developed a reputation for getting along and motivating people, as well as having a keen basketball acumen. But does a team with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, too eager to win, want to trust a new head coach?
Atkinson would be the most intriguing choice. After impressing as a talented young developer, the Nets fired him because they felt he was not the right coach to run a championship-fighting team. A contrary assessment of the Lakers would at least be convincing.
