It looks like midfielder Kiko Alonso will rejoin the Saints.
Alonso was one of three veteran midfielders who trained with the team on Thursday, and multiple reports indicate they will sign him to their 90-man roster.
Alonso played 13 games for the Saints in 2019, so he’s familiar with the defense, which is run by current head coach and former defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. At the end of that season, he tore his cruciate ligament and has not played in any games since he was injured.
During his previous tenure in New Orleans, he had 31 tackles.
Alonso was drafted in the 2013 Buffalo Buffalo in the second round and played 73 games for the Bills, Eagles and Dolphins before joining the Saints.
