Training camp is just around the corner, and Jimmy Garoppolo and Baker Mayfield are still looking for new homes in the NFL. Things are certainly improving as this event comes just a week after CBS Sports NFL Insider Jonathan Jones. informed with whom the Carolina Panthers operated urgency to make a deal for Mayfield. The money is likely the main setback in negotiations for both the Cleveland Browns and Panthers, with Mayfield set to receive $18.85 million in the final year of his rookie contract.

Despite the fact that Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos early this offseason, the Seahawks showed little interest in signing another quarterback. They turned down a signalman pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, with head coach Pete Carroll even saying that recently Seattle was in “good shapeat quarterback with Jeno Smith and Drew Lock. On the other hand, he also said he “didn’t intend” to trade Wilson just weeks before the Seahawks did.

Mayfield threw for 3,010 yards, 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 14 games played last year, and it’s been a tough season for a former first overall pick. Mayfield went 6-8 as a starter and struggled with numerous injuries. For the quarterback who helped the Browns win their first playoff game since Jan. 1, 1995, things went very quickly. But this impending change of scenery could bring out the best in the 27-year-old.
