ST. ANDREWS, Scotland. Sean Crocker maintained his one-stroke lead at the Hero Open after hitting 6-66 in the second round of the DP World Tour on Friday.
However, the star of Day 2 was Ewan Ferguson after the Scot hit 11 birdies, including seven on eight holes at the back nine, in Game 61 without a bogey at Fairmont St. Andrews.

Crocker backed up his 63rd in the first round and was 15 under in the tournament as he goes to win by wire.
Scott Jamison, playing in his native Scotland, was one stroke behind and was the only one in second after 64 shots.
Third place was fought out in a five-man tie between England’s Jonathan Thomson (65) and Ross Fischer (66), Scottish David Lowe (66), Spaniard Adrian Otaegi (67) and Swede Jens Dunthorpe (67).
Ferguson was 10 short, five shots behind the leader and tied for 15th.
