When we last saw Sophia Schubert, she was fighting for her first LPGA title at the Amundi Evian Championship.
Her return to major competitions was not as fruitful.
The 26-year-old scored 8 out of 79 in the first round of the AIG Women’s Open at Muirfield. It was in stark contrast to her four under-70 rounds in France that left her one shot behind eventual champion Brooke Henderson.

Following her near-breakthrough performance, Schubert returned to the US to compete in a sponsorship event as she did not compete in the Scottish Women’s Open. She also initially did not compete in the AIG Women’s Open and planned to attempt to qualify, but earned a spot when Marissa Steen withdrew.
On Thursday, Schubert had six scarecrows and three scarecrows, as well as a double scarecrow and a triple scarecrow at Nos. 16 and 17, respectively.
Despite the disappointment, Schubert is 42 years old.th in the Race to the CME Globe standings, 13 events remain on the season schedule.
