BOSTON. Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler (knee) is set to play Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics on Monday, league sources told Sportzshala Sports.
Monday’s six-time All-Star is in question.
Miami also lists Kyle Lowry (hamstring), Tyler Herro (groin), PJ Tucker (knee), Max Strus (hamstring), and Gabe Vincent (hamstring) as dubious.
Butler suffered an inflammation in his right knee in the first half of Game 3 on Saturday. He was ruled out in the second half due to inflammation and finished with eight points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 19 minutes. Victor Oladipo started the third quarter instead of him.
Butler had complications with that knee throughout the season. Because of this, he missed Game 5 of the Heat’s first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks. Butler tore the meniscus in that knee, requiring surgery in 2018.
Miami leads the series 2-1 after a 109-103 victory in Boston in which the hosts have never taken the lead.
Butler is averaging 28.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.2 steals in these playoffs.
