Fall camp is just around the corner, and the Oklahoma Sooners are ready to get to work. A new coaching staff and new character roster have created a lot of anticipation on Sept. 3 when the Sooners will usher in the Brent Venables era by adopting UTEP Miners.
Although the Sooners may be the favorite of many forecasters, several teams will be competing for the title in the conference in November. The states of Oklahoma, Baylor and Texas have the talent to make the Big 12 title race in Arlington quite intriguing at the end of the season. Teams like Kansas State and West Virginia are popular dark-horse choices to compete for in the conference championship game.
Looking ahead to the 2022 season The Sporting News predicted the order of the finish for the Big 12 conference, and Sooners fans will be happy with where Oklahoma is predicted to land at the end of the season.
Let’s see where Oklahoma ended.
