Stephen Curry – four NBA championships, two MVPs, Finals MVP, the best shooter the game has ever seen – one-dimensional.
At least sometimes, according to former NBA player Mike James, who currently plays for AS Monaco in the French league. James was featured on the Players’ Choice: We’re Not the Same Podcast. and, although Curry didn’t exactly scold him, he did shoot him when asked to pick the top five players in the game. As his five, James chose his close friend Kevin Duranthen completed the command LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpoand Luka Doncic. That left Curry and Nikola Jokic. When asked about Curry’s absence, James said:
“It seems to me that Jokic and Stef are only slightly inferior to the other five. But obviously they’re still amazing… Steph likes the way he plays and how he gets things, sometimes it’s just one dimensional if that makes sense… He doesn’t play the ball often and for a point guard it’s a concern. to me. But he scores from dribbling. He’s a superstar.”
You know that a one-dimensional comment was going back to curry.
This week, Curry played one-on-one against several youngsters at his annual Curry camp, and when asked about it, made a one-dimensional comment and admitted to being petty about it.
The petty king strikes again 💀

“They are all bad. Everything is bad for them, even one-dimensional ones like me [starts laughing]. But I’m small, so small. I’m so petty. Continue. But I really like it, I’m sorry.”
Like all greats, Curry finds motivation where he can get it. Mike James kindly added fuel to Curry’s fire.
