Superstar Racing Experience 2023 schedule: Three new tracks included in upcoming season

The Superstar Racing Experience announced its 2023 schedule on Wednesday, setting the stage for the third season of the summer racing series competition. All SRX races are now rescheduled to Thursday nights as part of the revival of ESPN’s classic “Thursday Night Thunder” racing lineup.

The 2023 season opens July 13 with the SRX’s third annual stop at Stafford Motor Speedway before the series heads to three new racetracks: Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barra, Va., Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Va., and Berlin Raceway in Grand Rapids. , Michigan, all were added to the schedule.

The SRX will then end the season with two dirt races at Eldora Speedway and the newly added Lucas OIl Speedway in Whitland, Missouri.

Here is the full Superstar Racing Experience schedule for 2023:

  • Thursday, July 13 – Stafford Motor Speedway – Stafford Springs, Connecticut.
  • Thursday, July 20 – Speedbowl Thunder Road – Barre, VA
  • Thursday, July 27 – Motor Mile Speedway – Rawford, Virginia.
  • Thursday, August 3 – Berlin Speedway – Grand Rapids, Michigan.
  • Thursday, August 10 – Eldora Speedway – Rossburg, Ohio.
  • Thursday, August 17 – Lucas Oil Speedway – Whitland, MO.

“The six tracks we selected were drawn from a list of 42 fantastic locations, all of which were genuinely interested in hosting an SRX race this summer,” SRX CEO Don Hock said in a statement. “When choosing a schedule, we prioritized historic tracks that have successfully hosted major events.”

The SRX had its first season in 2021, with legendary drivers from NASCAR, IndyCar and other racing disciplines pitted against each other on some of America’s most iconic short track circuits.

Marco Andretti became the 2022 champion in a season where Helio Castroneves, Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Bobby Labonte and Chase Elliott won races.
