WARSAW, Poland – No. 1 Iga Swiatek beat Magdalena Frecz 6-1, 6-2 at the Poland Open on Wednesday in her first tournament since her third-round elimination at Wimbledon ended her 37-match winning streak .

Swiatek’s homecoming win extended her clay court winning streak to 17 games. The two-time French Open champion improved his record to 47-4 this season.

The 21-year-old Pole will face unseeded Romanian Gabriela Li, who beat Raluca Serban 3:6, 6:2, 7:5.
