World No. 1 Iga Swiatek won her second consecutive Qatar Open title on Saturday, beating Jessica Pegula 6-3, 6-0 in the final.
It was the first title of the Pole in 2023 and the 12th in his career.
Swiatek, the reigning French and US Open champion, lost just five games in a week in Doha on her way to the title.
Swiatek defeated world No. 4 Pegula in just 69 minutes and brought her career to a 5-2 win over the American.
Doha remains a special place for Swiatek: last year her triumph in the Qatari capital led to a 37-match winning streak that culminated in her second French Open Grand Slam title.
